The food grade 304 stainless steel probe is fitted with an ABS handle and waterproof to IP68.
The external 1.35 meter probe cable is made from silicon.
The display unit can be supported by either the in-built desktop stand bracket or use the in-case wall mount holes or the on-board magnets to attach the display unit on to steel surfaces and safely away from liquids.
Backlight function to read temperatures in low ight situations.
Temperature is selectable either Celsius or Fahrenheit.
View the minimum and maximum temperatures with the Max./Min. temperature memory alarm function, it is on or off selectable.
Replaceable battery.
Calibration function allows for manual calibration to be done to the thermometer in a ice point test.

The IP68 rating basically means that the thermometer is water resistant in fresh water to a maximum depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes. Beyond 30 minutes under water and the water proof rating cannot be guaranteed. IP68 also means the thermometer is protected from dust without the need for extra cases or covers.
